Carrying the message of science coupled with work in the fields of public relations, and affirming the department's commitment to preparing generations and competencies distinguished by generosity and creativity in the fields of public relations specialisations, enriching innovative scientific research supported by postgraduate programmes and contributing to community service with the highest quality standards, and developing knowledge, research, innovation and entrepreneurship in the field of traditional and electronic public relations.
Objectives:
1Achieving quality and excellence in performance, so that graduates of the department are able to practise public relations with a high level of professionalism.
2) Meeting the requirements of the labour market and supporting it with competencies capable of understanding their role in addressing local community issues and spreading a culture of developmental media that aims to promote intellectual and awareness advancement, while taking into account the social responsibility of public relations practitioners in ethical and professional aspects related to community values.
3) Establishing communication between the department, society, government institutions and the media by organising festivals, seminars, lectures, discussion panels, media campaigns and advertising campaigns on all social issues.
4) Contributing to the revitalisation of scientific research related to the priorities of society and its development through bachelor's degree graduation projects and the preparation of master's theses.
5) Establishing constructive and effective channels of communication with corresponding higher education institutions, both internally and externally, in order to keep pace with developments in the field of the new communications and information technology revolution.

Promoting comprehensive quality and commitment to high standards of professionalism, ethics and credibility in the practice of public relations, based on portraying a positive image of government and media institutions, excellence, creativity, and belief in freedom of opinion and independent critical thinking as the basis for creativity, respect for diversity and pluralism and other opinions, and openness to and respect for local and international cultures.
Overall strategic objective:
By 2025, the Public Relations Department will strengthen its excellence to be among the best public relations departments regionally; by promoting values, quality, sustainability, technology, and knowledge innovation in the field of traditional public relations and professional transformation to digital public relations.
تمنح كلية الهندسة في الجامعة العراقية حاليا اختصاص الماجستير في هندسة الحاسوب حيث يكون التقديم للدراسة من خلال البوابة الالكترونية التابعة لوزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي ويتم بعدها اجراء الامتحان التنافسي المتكون من ١٠ مواد دراسية للمؤهلين
مواد الامتحان التنافسي هي:
١- الحوسبة اللينة Soft Computing
٢- أنظمة السيطرة Control Systems
٣- أمنية الحاسوب Computer Security
٤- المعالجات المتوازية Parallel Processing
٥- المعالجات المايكروية Microprocessor
٦- معالجات الإشارة الرقمية Digital Signal Processing
٧- شبكات الحاسوب Computer Networks
٨- أنظمة التشغيل Operating Systems
٩- أساسيات الاتصالات Communication Fundamentals
١٠- رياضيات Mathematics
السنة التحضيرية تشمل ١٢ مادة دراسية تعطى على فصلين دراسيين وبواقع ٢٤ وحدة دراسية وسنة بحثية بواقع ١٢ وحدة دراسية. المواد الدراسية للسنة التحضيرية هي كما موضح أدناه:
