- Achieving quality and excellence in performance, so that the graduate of the department is able to practice work in his field with high professionalism.
- Meeting the demands of the labor market and supporting it with competencies capable of understanding their assigned role in addressing local community issues, and spreading a culture of developmental media that aims at intellectual and awareness-raising advancement, while taking into account the ethical and religious aspects related to the values of the Muslim community.
- Ensuring academic and research freedom committed to the values, ethics, and traditions of Islamic society, and contributing to the revitalization of scientific research related to the priorities and development of society through undergraduate graduation projects and the preparation of master's theses.
- Achieving communication between the department, the community and press institutions by holding seminars, lectures and discussion panels on media issues.
- Opening constructive and effective communication channels with counterpart higher education institutions internally and externally in order to keep pace with developments in the field of the communication technology and new media revolution.
